The Electrical Engineering Department at JSPM’s Bhivrabai Sawant Polytechnic Wagholi Campus Pune has been immensely active and professionally productive establish since in 2013. Presently, the department has Diploma Programme with about 120 students.The Department of Electrical Engineering has well equipped Labs that includes Electrical Workshop, Basic Electrical Laboratory, Machine Lab-I (DC machine and Transformer), Machine Lab-II (AC machine and Testing), Power System Laboratory, Electric circuit and Network Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory etc. The Laboratories are well equipped with Latest Experimental and Computational Facilities including Industry Interaction has been increased with industry sponsored projects. Industries also offer the vocational training to our students. The department organizes Guest Lectures, Faculty Development Programme, Workshop and Seminars in various specialized field which offers an opportunity to meet eminent speakers and exchange ideas. The faculty frequently publishes and presents their research work in reputed national/ international Journals and Conferences.

Program Outcomes (I-Scheme)

  • Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

  • Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

Objective

The basic objective of the Electrical Engineering Student association is to enhance the technical skills and overall development of students of the students.

Function

EESA encouraged the students for their participation in various activities viz. Competitions, workshop, seminar, etc. It also organizes various activities such as technical awareness program, guidance for higher studies, social awareness program, soft skills, expert talks, projects and seminars, for the overall development of the students.
