Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of the institute. It is also one of the biggest departments of the institute. Department was started in the year 2006. Department offers 3 years course of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with total intake of 360 seats affiliated to Maharashtra state board of technical education, Mumbai. Mechanical department has a team of highly qualified and motivated faculties and well equipped laboratories. Department is committed to generate employable mechanical engineering diploma engineers with knowledge, skills and ethics and provide professional and soft skills necessary to lead a successful career with the confidence necessary to contribute for nation. The department of Mechanical Engineering includes many exciting subjects like Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Power Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Automation and Robotics which have been among the fastest growing and most challenging technologies that enable the development of the modern knowledgeable society.

  • PEO 1: Provide socially responsible, environment friendly solutions to Mechanical engineering related broad-based problems adapting professional ethics.
  • PEO 2: Adapt state-of-the-art Mechanical engineering broad-based technologies to work in multi-disciplinary work environments.
  • PEO 3: Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.
  • PSO1. Modern Software Usage: Use latest mechanical related software for simple design, drafting, manufacturing, maintenance and documentation of mechanical component and process.
  • PSO2. Maintenance and selection of machine, equipment, instruments: Maintain and select appropriate machine, equipment and instrument in field of mechanical
  • PSO3. Manage Mechanical Process: Manage the mechanical process by selection and scheduling right type of machinery, equipment, substrates, quality control techniques, operational parameter and software for a particular mechanical process or job for economy of operations.

  • Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
