Goal

Ultimate goal is to facilitate the rating of Bhivrabai Sawant Polytechnic, predominantly dominated by rural area, as one of the best Institutes in terms of Industrial Training and Placement through coordination with the Students, Director, HODs, TPCs and the faculties.

Objectives

  • i. Organizing training activities for personality development, interview techniques to prepare students facing recruitment process.
  • ii. Create awareness amongst students about the present career opportunities and higher education.
  • iii. Organizing mock group discussion sessions and also to conduct mock tests as per the recruiter’s requirements.
  • iv. Approaching industries for internships, training &placements.
  • v. Placing students in the industry to undertake in plant training program as per the MSBTE norms.
  • vi. Organizing lectures from industry experts & academia for career guidance.
  • vii. Arrange industrial visits for the students to give them exposures to industrial practices.
  • viii. Maintain relations with program specific industries to place more number of students.

Functions of T&P Cell

  • i. Formulate policy for training and placement cell.
  • ii. Formulate department wise activity plan for semester.
  • iii. Maintain database of students of all departments, recruiting and training organizations.
  • iv. Survey of various industries regarding current requirement of employability.
  • v. Provide suitable training through various organizations as per department need.
  • vi. Organize various drives in the institute and communicate to students through phone, e-mail, notice and announcement in class.
  • vii. Ensure that the interview schedule be held on stated date and time.
  • viii. After conducting drive ensure that results are declared and informed to all appeared students.
  • ix. Information to students about job opportunities in government, semi government and public sector.
  • x. Collect and maintain placement, higher studies and entrepreneurship record of the students.
  • xi. Arrange expert lectures from industry and academics for career guidance and personality development.
  • xii. Arrange visits to provide industrial exposure to faculty and students.
  • xiii. Assist students for internship.
  • xiv. Establish MOUs with various institutes and industries.
