Electronics & Telecommunications

The curriculum in electronics and telecommunication engineering puts greater importance on deep understanding of fundamental principles of analog & digital communication, microwave engineering, mobile communication, microprocessor and controller engineering & audio and video communications systems. The department gives exposure to its students, to not only the regular Engineering curriculum, but also strives to teach a professional attitude in them. The project which is an important part of their curriculum, not only gives them a chance to understand and explore their area of interest, but also to enhance their practical skills as demanded by the present telecommunication industry.

  • PSO 1: Electronics and Telecommunication Systems: Maintain various types of Electronics and Telecommunication systems. .
  • PSO 2: EDA Tools Usage: Use EDA tools to develop simple Electronics and Telecommunication engineering related circuits.

  • Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering to solve the engineering problems.
  • Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply discipline - specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied engineering problems.

Digital Technique And Microprocessor Lab

This lab focuses on design of different type of circuits that increase understanding of course. Also to understand the internal organization of INTEL 8085, 8086 and 8051 Microprocessors and Assembly Language Programs using the instruction sets of processors and to study the interfacing of the processor with various peripheral devices. The students achieve encoding skills in Assembly Language and Interfacing with various devices. The students have in depth knowledge in writing and executing 8086 8085 and 8051 Assembly Language programs.

Communication Lab

Communication Laboratory (Lab) is catering to the needs of facilities in communication field by training its students to make valuable contribution. This lab is equipped with Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, cathode-ray oscilloscope, Function generators & various kits for implementing and understanding Communication circuits/ techniques. The objective of this lab is to prepare its students with good foundation in Communication field. <br><br> Communication laboratory focuses on training the students in both analog and digital transmission/reception of signals. The students are trained to work on analog and digital modulations kits. It helps the students to enhance their knowledge about various Communication techniques like AM, FM, PM, PAM, PPM, PWM, PCM etc. <br><br> The lab area is 90 meter square.

This lab familiarizes you with the basics of electronics and instrumentation. Students have an opportunity to build and test electronic circuits. In the process they are provided with the breadboards, oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies and other essential equipment.
