Electrical Engineering

The Electrical Engineering Department at JSPM’s Bhivrabai Sawant Polytechnic Wagholi Campus Pune has been immensely active and professionally productive establish since in 2013. Presently, the department has Diploma Programme with about 60 students. The Department of Electrical Engineering has well equipped Labs that includes Basic Electrical Engineering Lab, Electrical Measurement and Instrumentation Lab, Electrical Circuit & Network Lab, Electrical A.C Machines I and II Lab, Switchgear and Protection Lab etc. The Laboratories are well equipped with Latest Experimental and Computational Facilities including Industry Interaction has been increased with industry - sponsored projects. Industries also offer the vocational training to our students. The department organizes Guest Lectures, Faculty Development Programme, Workshop and Seminars in various specialized field which offers an opportunity to meet eminent speakers and exchange ideas. The faculty frequently publishes and presents their research work in reputed national/ international Journals and Conferences.

Basic Electrical Lab

Located in BSP-A building room no. 220, the Basic Electrical lab., has 04 fully equipped setup benches to carry out numerous fundamental experiments.<br><br> The experiments are designed to expose students to the practical executions of the fundamental theories of Electrical Engineering.<br><br> Each experimental bench is equipped with variable AC and DC power supplies with adequate protections, which enables students to carry out the experiments in an electrically safe environment. The lab is equipped with energy meters, power meters, voltage meters, ammeters, various size and type of transformers, various types and sizes of motors.<br><br> Lab Compatible teaching topics<br> 1. Machine Lab-I (D.C. M/c)

Located in BSP-A building room no. 114, the Electrical Machines lab - 01, has fully equipped major machines such as<br><br> 1. Single Phase Transformer<br> 2. DC Machine Cut-Section<br> 3. DC Series Motor # Shunt Generator With Control Panel<br> 4. DC Generator # Three Phase I. M. With Control Panel<br> 5. Three Phase Transformer<br> 6. DC Series Motor With Control Panel<br> 7. Three Phase Resistive Load Bank<br> 8. Dust-Bin<br> 9. DC Rectifier<br> These machines are essential to carry out numerous experiments. The experiments are designed to expose students to the practical executions of the machines to get familiar with theory, construction, different tests (load and no load).<br><br> Each experimental setup is equipped with variable AC and DC power supplies with adequate protections, which enables students to carry out the experiments in an electrically safe environment.
