Computer Engineering

The 3 years Diploma programme in Computer Engineering is meant for the students who have passed 10th standard. In an outstanding education environment complemented by superior teaching for its students to flourish in the program, the major areas of teaching include Algorithms, C Programming, Object Oriented Programming, Operating System, Data Structures, Computer Security, Software Testing, RDBMS, Microprocessor, Computer Networks, Graphics, Computer Hardware &Maintenances, etc.

Close interaction with the industry has led to the evolution of a teaching system, which produces diligent and erudite engineers. The students get an exposure to various aspects of computer hardware, software and practical handling of computers.
The aim of Diploma Course is to strive for excellence in creating, applying and imparting knowledge in computer engineering through comprehensive educational programmes and service to professional societies, the community and the Nation.
The department has highly qualified & dynamic staff to motivate the students through mini projects & competitions. The exhaustive course has been designed to meet the demands of the current trend of an IT industry.

Higher Studies
1. After completing 3-year Diploma in Computer Enginnering in first division the student can get admission in second year of degree in Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering.) known as lateral admission.The student can also do courses like B.C.A. (Bachelor in Computer Application), and B.C.S.(Bachelor in Computer Science),and BSc. IT Bachelor in Information Technology), through different recognized universities.
2. If a student passes with second division, through AMIE (Associate Membership in Institute of Engineers) can get the Engineering Degree pursued on an evening or part time basis.
3. The opportunity is also open for higher education abroad.

Job Prospects
A candidate can fetch a job after completing Diploma in Computer Engineering in following fields:

Employers On completion of Diploma in Computer Science, plenty of career opportunities exist in the IT industry.
The students can go for further studies like the B.E Course. They can find openings as software engineers, system developers and programmers. They get sufficient opportunity to learn PC hardware so that they can become Hardware Engineers. They can become network engineers. They are eligible for the Apprenticeship training program in HAL, NAL, etc. Infinite opportunities in the field of Web and Multimedia designing are available for Diploma holders. Most MNCs prefer diploma students for BPO and Call Centre jobs.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering is too broad an area to give a proper response for Self Employment and Entrepreneurship. Identify the potential opportunities in area of specialization that are of great interest of Students.
Use their advanced knowledge in circuitry to test and create products with own research and development firm that they can use to sell their own ideas or that companies can hire for unbiased test results and consultations.
Electrical engineers developed the circuitry inside electronic equipment and vehicles, and this knowledge can serve others who require maintenance and repairs. For example, if any student specialize in the electrical components in automobiles, he can contract his services to a car manufacturer that wants to fix a never-before-seen sound system that is not performing well in its latest line of cars.
One of the most important components within an electronic product is the circuit board. Using their skills, he can design and sell printed circuit boards to manufacturing companies, construction firms and engineering firms that do not specialize in electrical engineering. By purchasing special automated equipment, he can design and print a large number of circuit boards for clients who have a great demand, like computer manufacturers.

Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics and Telecommunication engineering is the most sophisticated, demanding and largest branch of engineering. It has diverse application areas that have affected our daily life in various ways.
The world is anticipating a new millennium, which is going to be the wireless telecommunication age. Therefore new areas of research in material sciences, optics and communication will contribute to a new revolution in replacing the present state of art devices and systems.

SCOPE OF EMPLOYMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Having a further look at the career prospects, there is bound to be huge demand for competent engineers in electronic and telecommunication industries to cope this demand in technology. The engineers would be involved in sustaining cutting edge technology to stay ahead in competition.

  • An electronic engineer can find a job in Consumer electronics manufacturing organization , Telecommunication & IT industries, Health care equipment manufacturing , Mobile communication(2G,3G,4G), Internet technologies, Power Electronics, and other industries like steel, petroleum and chemical industry, directing control and testing production process.
  • Electrical Technicians and technologists can specialize in technical sales, product representation, systems management, the design and manufacture of electronic devices and systems, or the installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems and equipment.

    PSO 3: Mechanical Engineering Processes: Manage Mechanical engineering processes by selecting and scheduling relevant equipment, substrates, quality control techniques, and operational parameters.

    Civil Engineering

    When planning to find a carrier in a conventional and promising branch of engineering, civil engineering is one of the most sought after options among students in India. Civil engineering is one of the oldest branch of engineering. A job for civil engineering aspirants varies from planning, implementation and designing of wide range of structural activities.
